They are known for their racial and ethnic diversity across their public health programs, as they foster an environment of equity for all.

Over 1, graduate students are enrolled and close to undergraduate students. They are fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Earth. George Washington University offers an online Graduate Public Health Certificate Program, designed to give students the foundational competencies of the entire public health discipline.

The program was designed for students who want to engage with the principles of public health without having to commit to an entire graduate program. This is also a great program for students who already professionals in the public health field and are interested in taking the certifying examination in public health.

Students may be drawn to the program if they are interested in the field of public health but are unsure of the particular discipline they want to focus on. The program consists of 15 credit hours that can later be applied to an MPH program. Boston University, most commonly referred to as BU, is a private research university located in Boston, Massachusetts. The Graduate Certificate is comprised of four required courses totaling 16 credits of coursework. These courses are the four most designed to provide key foundational knowledge in public health, of the areas typically covered in an MPH degree. The University of Connecticut was founded in in Storrs, Connecticut. It is a public land grant, National Sea Grant, and National Space Grant research university and has developed the nickname UConn by those who are familiar.

Early on it was known as Storrs Agricultural School, and took on the job of educating local farmers and their families. In the past years, UConn has developed a reputation of excellence, developing nationally and internationally recognized programs of research in key areas contributing to global public health initiatives through the University of Connecticut Health Center and the located in the John Dempsey UConn John Dempsey Hospital.

The UConn Health Center is responsible for educating public health students in graduate study. The certificate program is offered entirely online and is a four-course, credit option. A student may enroll in a certificate program on either a part-time or a full-time basis, but after initial enrollment, students must complete the requirements for the certificate within three years.

Of the four required courses, two are required, and two are selected by the student. Students may select two courses from the topics of Environment, Administration, Social and Behavioral Health, and issues of Law. Completing the GRE is not a requirement for enrollment in this program. Drexel University was established in , and is situated in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Prerequisites or special requirements The certificate program is open to non-JHU students with at least a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university who have completed at least one college level Biology course and one college level Math or Statistics course with a grade of B or above, and a strong overall record of successful academic performance.
