Courage the cowardly dog serial killers
The episode "Rumpledstiltskin" follows the Bagges as they travel to Scotland to help weave Muriel's family quilt. Unfortunately, this becomes a trap where Rumpelstiltskin tricks Muriel into being his slave to make kilts for outlet malls. While not particularly life-threatening, this false relative earns his place in Muriel's family by being another mischievous character. He has written for other sites like Animemojo. When not writing you can find him with his lovely girlfriend, cooking, reading comics, or collecting any new Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legend, or Transformer.
By Nicholas Brooks Published Aug 06, They often trap young women and sew them into quilts, imprisoning their souls forever in their process. Apart from their pale looks and evil grins, the Sisters also sound scary. Usually, they can be quoted saying, 'Weave, believe, belong!
Much like the aforementioned Cruel Vet, the twins pretend to be friendly, old ladies selling their quilts to naive customers.
According to the show's mythos, they lived in prehistoric times. When they came in possession of a half-living quilt with the ability to trap human souls, they ended up being immortal. The Queen of the Black Puddle or Black Puddle Queen is an underwater entity that seduces people in her underwater palace and devours them. Unlike other sea nymphs, she doesn't wait for victims to reach her palace. Instead, she herself actively hunts for potential victims.
The creepy thing about Black Puddle Queen's powers is that she can turn into any form of water, be it steam or tap water.
This leads to increased possibilities of her being able to lure people from any part of the world. She's known as the puddle queen, as she brings people to puddles and then closes the puddle, trapping them inside a void. The Ulcer, one of the show's most surreal characters, is literally an ulcer with a tiny human body.
He traps people in a dingy showroom and asks them to perform an act for him. If he doesn't like their talent, he dips them into a pool of toxic stomach acid. His origin is stranger as the Ulcer was once a man who lived in Hollywood. Fed up with the showbiz and pretentiousness of the life over there, he turns into a cynical, lonely ulcer inside his own stomach! The process of him turning into a monstrosity like this is, however, never touched upon and is open to interpretation.
Investigators claim he murdered between people. Many of these murders could never be proven. How is this all connected? Truth or Consequences, NM had a population of about 3, in the 90s, making it truly, the middle of nowhere. And, a perfect location for David Parker Ray to find his prey. Still, the similarities are striking. David Parker Ray was known for traveling down to Truth or Consequence and looking for houses that were isolated and far away from any town. Something that Truth or Consequence had plenty of.
After stalking his prey he would use disguises and try to gain the trust of the family inhabiting the secluded home. Once David Parker Ray had identified his targets and learned about them, he had three main strategies. All of these strategies are tactics commonly used by the evil characters in Courage the cowardly dog. The list goes on and on, but we do need to bring this full circle. What does the New Mexico skinwalker have to do with this?
And was Courage the Cowardly Dog Based on a true story? David Parker Ray kidnapped and murdered around 60 people in this small, isolated town in New Mexico. Although,it was unlikely there would be any witnesses or thorough investigations due to the towns under-development and almost non-existent police force.
The people of Truth Or Consequences needed answers to help them cope. In such a small town, 60 disappearances is essentially an epidemic. A human like figure would take interest in a human, stalk them, lure them in with a disguise, and then bring them to the dark side.
This theory also explains the reluctance of the locals to speak of the New Mexico Skinwalker. Even if some know the truth, they actually prefer it to the even more twisted reality.
Also the unspeakable tools in his sex dungeons. However, the bad guy in Courage always failed, so maybe where they were going was just as bad. When he reappeared later, this vicious, cannibalistic behavior seemed to have gone away, and his malevolent disposition became centered around more directorial goals such as using other people's torture as a form of entertainment. When they were alive, Benton Tarantella and his partner Errol Von Volkheim were serial killers that posed as film directors to lure and murder unsuspecting victims.
After 12 homicides, they were finally captured and sentenced for life. However, Volkheim was released for good behavior, leaving Tarantella alone to die in prison. Years afterwards, Tarantella mysteriously arose from his grave as a zombie and continued with his former way of life.
This required his associate, Volkheim, and with the planets' imminent alignment they only needed the proper buriel site - the Bagge Farmhouse. With his familiarity with the area, Benton entered the house with the pretext of filming the script, The Return of the Zombies from Beneath the Farm. Tarantella offered the farmer Eustace a large sum of money who gladly accepted the compensation and prepared his wife Muriel for consumption.
A stream of light shone down from the planets and allowed Volkheim to be reborn as a zombie.
